What I like most about my job: make people happy and show them the beauty of hot air ballooning and nature.
If I could share one tip with a new employee, it would be: listen to the experienced old guys , they know what they are doing, there is no need to be “brave” in the air, be happy in the air and on the ground
What is the most enjoyable part of your job? See people discover the beauties of hot air ballooning, and enjoying myself in the sky drifting with the winds and mother nature

How many times have you been ballooning? Many ( nearly half of my life )
In which locations have you flown over? Flew over North Pole as a part of an International expedition to North Pole in 1999 organised by the Russian Sport Aviation Federation. Made flights over the Dachtein Glacier in Austria. Regulary flying over the Alps , Alp region of Bled and city of Ljubljana. I have been flying in Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Russia, Japan, US of America.
If you could chose one place in the world to fly over in a hot air balloon where would it be? Masai Mara

Born in 1960 in Ljubljana , Slovenia. I was boy scout and active skier in younger ages. Restoring Classic Motorbikes , 4WD driving and upgrading vehicles for fun. I was always attracted by nature. Got into ballooning by crewing for sports flying in free time for a co-worker from a computer company where I was employed as a computer programmer. Started flying in 1989 and made my Slovenian licence in 1992. Due to political reasons and old Yugoslav regulations( Slovenia declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1991 ) it was not possible to make it before. In 1996 got my US FAA CPL licence. In years of ballooning I have done some interesting flights, longest flight on the territory of Slovenia from the coast of Adriatic to Hungarian border 258 km in 5 hours in 1996. Flew from Venice ( Italy) over the North Adriatic Sea to Portorose ( Slovenia ), first flight in a hot air balloon over the North Adriatic. Made a World record for the highest drop of Paragliders-tandem from 8400m in a hot air balloon as a pilot of a hot air balloon. Till now in 2011 I have logged 3000+ hours altogether. I have been a Slovene national champion in 1994. In 1995 formed my own company "Balonarski center Barje d.n.o." which I still run and is the oldest still running company in SloveniaSelected photos
