How to Check If Your Balloon Flight Is Going Ahead
When You’ll Hear From Us
At 6pm the night before your flight, you’ll receive an email with one of the following statuses:
✔ Proceeding
Your flight is confirmed – meeting time included.
⏳ Proceeding – TBC
Weather is being monitored; we’ll advise when to check again.
❌ Cancelled Due to Weather
If flying isn’t safe, you’ll receive:
- A direct link to rebook, or
- Instructions to request a refund
What to Expect on the Day of Your Mildura Balloon Flight
The Evening Before Your Flight
- Receive your flight status email
- Complete your electronic waiver
On the Day
- Meet at the Powerhouse Precinct
- Welcome & safety briefing
- Watch our crew gently bring the balloon to life
- Take off into the Mildura morning or afternoon sky
- Assist with pack‑down after landing (optional)
Our experience is designed to be calm, immersive, and memorable.
Flight Times for Sunrise & Afternoon Flights in Mildura
Sunrise Balloon Flights
- Meet at approx. 6:00am
- Finish around 9:00 – 9:30am
Afternoon Balloon Flights
- Meet at approx. 2:30 – 3:00pm
- Finish around 5:30 – 6:00pm
Exact timings are confirmed at 6pm the night before.
What to Wear for a Mildura Hot Air Balloon Flight
Ballooning is no colder in the air than on the ground – and our burners provide gentle warmth overhead.
We recommend:
- Warm, comfortable layers
- Closed‑toe shoes
- A hat or beanie if you prefer
Who Can Fly? Age & Fitness Requirements
- Minimum age: 6 years old
- Must be able to stand for 1 hour
- Must be able to climb into the basket (approx. 1.1m high, footholds and step provided)

Weather Cancellations: Rebooking or Refund Options
Your safety is our priority. If your flight is cancelled:

Select another date, including switching from sunrise to afternoon or vice versa.
Request a Refund
Refunds are available less a $25 admin fee, which covers merchant processing charges.
