Is the balloon flight private?
The package includes your group’s return transfers between Mt Buller and Mansfield. The balloon flight itself is a shared/public sunrise or afternoon balloon flight, with other guests joining the experience.
How long does the experience take?
Allow approximately 5.5 hours from pickup to return, including transfers, pre-flight preparation, the balloon flight (approximately 1 hour) and return travel to Mt Buller.

How do we get from Mt Buller to Mansfield?
Return transfers are included as part of this package. We’ll collect your group from Mt Buller, transport you to Mansfield for your balloon flight, and return you to the mountain afterwards.
What time does the balloon flight depart?
Balloon flights are scheduled around sunrise or, during selected periods, afternoon conditions. Exact pickup and flight times vary depending on the season, weather and operational requirements.
Can we choose a sunrise or afternoon flight?
Yes, subject to availability and suitable flying conditions. Sunrise flights are the most popular option and offer beautiful morning light across the Victorian High Country.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable for flying?
Hot air ballooning is weather dependent, and safety is always our priority. If your flight cannot proceed due to unsuitable conditions, we will work with you to reschedule where possible, subject to availability and operating requirements. Alternatively, you can get a refund less an admin fee.
What should we wear for a Mt Buller balloon flight?
Dress warmly and comfortably, especially during winter months. We recommend wearing layers, enclosed shoes (avoid white) and clothing suitable for standing outdoors on grass or uneven ground.
Can children join the balloon flight?
