General management of our thriving tourism business, maintaining the Global Ballooning brand as a market leader in Victoria and ensuring our office dynamos are happy to be at work and part of the global journey.
What do you like most about your job?
The freedom and support to try new ideas. Global Ballooning is an open minded company that welcomes initiative and innovation and I have thrived in this environment over the years.
If you could share one tip with a new employee, what would it be?
Get on a flight as soon as possible to experience our product first hand.
What is the most enjoyable part of your job?
Working with lovely diverse people and by far the reaction I get when I tell people I work for a hot air balloon company! There is a general interest in the science of ballooning and it is on a lot of peoples ‘Must Do’ lists. I think I will be speaking on behalf of all Global Ballooning staff when I say we are accustomed to talking about ballooning 24/7, at barbecues, kid’s parties, doctors office, local café...and that was just this week!
Describe yourself in three words
Driven, Loyal, Mama
What was your worst ever job?
Standing on a street corner trying to approach walking traffic to sign up for a new Amex credit card – I lasted 5 minutes just couldn’t do it.
If you weren't doing this job, what would you be?
A theatrical performer on Broadway :)
How many times have you been ballooning?
In which locations have you flown over?
Melbourne, Yarra Valley, Mildura
If you could choose one place in the world to fly over in a hot air balloon where would it be?
Anywhere in Europe or South Africa
After completing a Bachelors in Tourism Management I immediately dived into the industry. Past roles have included retail and wholesale travel, cruise consulting and web site management among a whole list of other interesting ventures :)
