Strong organizations are the result of strong teams and one great idea is through a memorable ballooning experience. With an ideal climate, beautiful landscape and an award-winning balloon operator, Yarra Valley is considered one of the best ballooning destinations in Australia.
1. Tick off their ultimate travel bucket list
Most people love a little adventure, and ballooning is the perfect ‘soft adventure’. You do not need to be fit; it is ageless, and it is appeals to almost everybody. A ballooning adventure is a sensory experience that is filled with changing hues of light, sounds and spectacular views. What is there NOT to LOVE?
2. A once-in-a-lifetime experience that they will treasure forever
A hot air balloon is the perfect activity to give your event a “WOW” factor. Suspended between earth and sky in a beautifully hand woven wicker basket is truly an unforgettable experience. Our Yarra Valley flights drift over a patchwork of vineyards that are set on rolling hills and surrounded by mountains. As the sun rises, so does your spirit – it is just a natural reaction to floating over the natural amphitheatre of the spectacular Yarra Valley.
We are passionate about what we do and take pride in initiating our guests into the magical world of ‘lighter than air’ flight. We aim to make all our flights an educational experience that meets the childhood expectations of drifting across the sky. Our flights occur at sunrise and are generally completed by 9am - so there is plenty of time to add some pre-work adventure to the event schedule to inspire the team.
3. New perspective to view the world – push them to think outside the box
The Yarra Valley is an ecological paradise with an abundance of world class diversity. It is a natural ballooning region and our flights never fail to disappoint as we take in the view of the mountains, rivers, vineyards, and vast array of patchwork farms producing an abundance of fresh produce.
4. Rejuvenate, motive & expand their horizon
Team building experiences can be priceless in maintaining staff satisfaction. They bring everybody closer together and increase productivity through harmony and respect.
Hot air ballooning has been shown to be the top experience on peoples ‘bucket list’, so, treating your staff to this gentle, all-inclusive activity might be one of the best investments in happiness for your event or conference.
5. Great team building activity
Our experienced team can organise tailor-made exclusive flights for groups of any size. We have baskets that can hold 10, 16 and 24 passengers and can fly up to 150 people per morning with up to 10 balloons in the sky depending on the time of year.
We encourage your team to become actively involved in the understanding of our pre-flight planning, rigging, inflation and in-flight management of a balloon flight – our aim is that they all get to appreciate what it might be like to fly a balloon themselves by the end of the flight.
6. It is more than just a balloon flight – they can help inflate & pack up the balloon
Your team will be required to work together to help set up the balloon for inflation, as well as roll up their sleeves to assist out team to pack up the balloon once landed. Although this is not mandatory - it is fun and gets everybody working together.
We encourage questions and work to be as informative as possible in regard to explaining the concept of the ‘World’s Oldest Form of Aviation’.
Guests can expect to have a far better understanding of how we work within the meteorological aspects that are so important to flying and steering a balloon.
7. Sharing an experience the individual is not familiar with in their everyday life
For a successful event, it is important that the logistics are working and running smoothly. We have 30 years of experience and knowledge with the planning and flying of large corporate and event groups from around Australia and the World. With years of experience operating in the Yarra Valley there is little that we do not know about this region and we can work with any event planner to combine a multitude of industry partners to meet their expectations and budget.
