We are thrilled to announce that our Melbourne pilot, Clement Seigot, has claimed the #1 championship title at the 25th FAI World Hot Air Balloon Championships in Hungary. With a remarkable score of 15,525, Clement soared above the competition in one of ballooning’s most prestigious events, which draws the best pilots from around the globe.
The World Hot Air Balloon Championships is a highly competitive event where pilots must demonstrate precision, skill, and strategy across a series of flight tasks. Pilots navigate through checkpoints, aiming to reach specific targets on the ground, all while contending with changing winds and unpredictable conditions. Competing against 120 balloons from 31 countries, Clement’s victory is a testament to his expertise and determination.
In addition to Clement’s success, Eddie Saunders finished an impressive 6th place with a score of 13,119. Eddie’s journey was made even more special by the fact that his siblings, Scarlett and Paterson, also competed alongside him.
