Set on 20 acres【8 ha】 of stunning Yarra Valley real estate, Hedgend Maze boasts a wide range of immersive experiences including their famous 1.2km hedge maze, all set upon an unbeatable view of the rolling valley hills.
Erin was welcomed to Hedgend by some of the Global boys dressed in the latest women’s fashion, sporting ‘balloon babies’ under their dresses to complete the theme. Anything for the team, right guys?
We were lucky to have Hedgend’s very first Baby Shower themed Amazing Race organised for us by the amazing and creative team, led by Lea Bowen.
Hedgend regularly organise Amazing Races for all sorts of occasions and do a fantastic job of tailoring the challenges to the occasion. Hedgend was actually featured in the TV show, the Amazing Race.
Our personalised Amazing Race featured baby themed costumes, escaping from the massive hedge maze by cracking a secret code (baby themed of course), Frisbee-golf, blindfolded navigation races and a baby dress up challenge (thanks to the guys that volunteered as mannequins!).
It all came down to a mad dash to the finish line, and who else to claim the top spot other than the star-studded purple team led Erin herself, who saved the day with her efficient yet stylish job of dressing up pilot Steve Buckley in full baby paraphernalia! Admittedly the purple team had a major advantage over the rest with an expectant mother as prepared as Erin on their side!
After some fiercely fought challenges, bringing out the competitive streaks in all of us, the Global team settled down for a picturesque meal on the sprawling Hedgend lawns, and reflected on a morning full of adventure and laughter. Thank you to Hedgend for being such generous hosts and organising a very unique day out for us.
Erin, you are a wonderful part of our team and as much as we couldn’t imagine you not being in the office, we would like to wish you the most amazing journey as a new Mumma and we look forward to welcoming you back with open arms when the time is right! We are sure that your passion, incredible enthusiasm and love for this new little addition to your family will inspire you as a person.
