What we love most about attending conferences of this nature is surrounding ourselves with like-minded people, exchanging ideas, sharing information and taking away key distinctions that we can transfer to our business. I even worked up the courage to speak something I may never have considered without the encouragement from my colleagues and peers.
Continuously committing to excellence by showing up and having a voice in these forums we stand united with all the major attractions and events in the country to acknowledge what our industry contributes to our economy and the influence we have as leaders in our fields.
Doing good was the premise of my presentation and how performing random acts of kindness is good for me, good for you and good for business. An altruistic approach to business is being a force for good and I am very proud to manage a business that has grown through giving. Giving our time, giving our experience, giving to our people and our industry are the things we do naturally without any expectation in return. As a result, we continue to grow and experience some amazing things, connect with incredible people and proudly align ourselves with the leaders in our industry.
In the famous words of Zig Zaglar “You can have everything in life you want, if you will help enough other people get what they want.” This sentiment continues to ring true in all areas of my life and I put to you the same pledge as I did to the people who kindly gave up their time to listen at the conference – let’s make a pledge to practice ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ no matter the size of the gesture it is powerful and there is no better way to brighten your day by consciously making the effort to brighten someone else’s day.
